Alex M. Waller, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Dearest son of the late Alexander J. (late Regina) Waller; beloved husband for 35 wonderful years to Janina “Jenny” nee Slezak, Waller; loving brother of Donna Waller and Darlene (Craig) Bowes; and fond cousin of many.
Alex was a dedicated employee of Fermi Lab for over 40 years where he worked as a systems analyst. He was a graduate of Lewis University with a degree in Physics. Alex was a huge Star Trek fan and was extremely intelligent. One of his favorite pastimes was playing chess.
Visitation Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Tuesday, September 16, 2025, 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
