Pawtucket – Alexander D. Paranick, 92, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Cecile Y. (Gervais) Paranick for sixty-four years. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Dimitro and Mary (Hull) Paranick, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life. Al was a World War II U. S. Army Air Corps veteran stationed in England, and was a member of the RI Air National Guard. He served the City of Pawtucket as a firefighter for thirty-three years before retiring as a Lieutenant in 1983. Al was a longtime parishioner of St. Teresa Church, Newport Ave., Pawtucket. He was a life member of the Attleboro Lodge of Elks; Pawtucket Fireman’s Relief Association; Associate member of the IDIP Club; member of the DAV Redmond Chapter and the VFW. Besides his wife, he leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stanley, Edward and Victor Paranick, Helen Borowick and Jania Ainsworth. VISITATION will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by Services at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Please omit flowers, memorial gifts to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.
