He will be missed by everyone in our Organization.

Alfonso "Frank"'s Obituary

Alfonso “Frank” Garcia De Luna, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025.  

The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Deacon David Bindel, officiating.  Rite of Committal will be held at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in San Marcos.

A son of the late Jose De Luna and Gregoria Garcia De Luna, Frank was born on January 24, 1939 in San Marcos, Texas.  He grew up farming in the fields of San Marcos, and went on to join the United States Army.  Frank proudly served our country during Vietnam, retiring as a SSG with over 20 years of service.  After retirement, Frank served 20 years with the Texas State Guard, and later retired from Civil Service at SAFB.

Frank was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  He was also a proud member of the DAV, the Vietnam Veterans Association, and MAVA.  Frank was an avid HHH rider, and had a passion for horses.  He got his kids involved in rodeo at a young age, and that legacy carries on today.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Frankie De Luna; his step-son, Les Macias; his granddaughter, Tomilee De Luna; and two grandsons, Stephan Macias, and Jared Macias.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Palma De Luna; his children, Randy Gaitan and wife Kathy, Renee De Luna Howery and husband Brian, Sonny Ray De Luna and wife Jan, Tommy Arias De Luna and wife Lili, Lacey Ray Macias and wife Rebecca, and Bryan Lee Macias and wife Kristy; his brother, Richard De Luna; two sisters, Margarita Samaniego, and Anita Rodriguez and husband Julian; his grandchildren, Lacey, Riley, Rainy, Haley, Samantha, Bethany, J.T., Lathum, Levi, Layton, T.J., Selene, Ricky, Priscilla, Ashley, Martina, Krista, Kaitlyn, Cody, Sierra, Madelyn, JoJo, and Leslie; numerous great-grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, family and friends.
