So sorry to hear of Alfred's passing. We graduated from Amesbury High School, Amesbury, Ma in 1954. Alfred was my first boyfriend way back in the 40's.

Alfred N. Dow, Jr., 81, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce. Al was born in Seabrook, New Hampshire and began spending winters in Vero Beach eighteen years ago while residing in Hampstead, New Hampshire before becoming a full time Vero resident nine years ago. He had served as Vice-President of Spectrowax of Boston in the business of commercial cleaning products. Al was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach. He truly enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether it was a round of golf, hunting, or traveling. He loved a game of cards with friends and also loved a good board game with his family. Survivors include his beloved wife Barbara S. Dow of Vero Beach, eight loving children; 4 loving step-children; twenty-two adored grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. While residing in Hampstead he was proud to be President of The Civic Club, an organization supporting children’s sports. He was truly loved by every life he touched, always putting others first through kindness and generosity. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1750 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. A memorial service celebrating Al’s life will take place at 2 PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach with Rev. Becky Oliver officiating.
