Alfred R. Labar, 83, of Saylorsburg, passed away, Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville. He was the husband of Ella Mae (Knitter) Labar.
Born in Martins Creek, October 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Claude and Edna Arlene (Martz) Labar.
Prior to retiring, he was employed as a cutter for A&H Sportswear, prior to that he was employed by Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap. He was a member of Worker’s United.
Alfred enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and racing. He also loved his family and following his grandchildren’s activities.
In addition to his wife Ella Mae, he is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Labar and Randi A. Labar and his wife Charlene, two grandchildren, Blaine A. Labar and Alexis Lynn Riggs, four great grandchildren, Blake Labar, Hanna Riggs, Taylor Riggs and Bailey Labar, three brothers, William, Gary and Frederick Labar, a sister, Catherine Engle and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Labar.
Memorial services will be held, Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11 AM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 AM, Monday until time of services at the funeral home.
