Alice's Obituary

Alice Lowe Biddle Klemans passed away Tuesday night at Lane House. She was 85 years old.She worked at Sommer Metalcraft until 1974, after which, she stayed home to take care of her family. She attended school at New Market. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and bowling as well as watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.Born November 12, 1929 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Edgar Earl Lowe and Letha Belle Emmerett Lowe. She married William E. Biddle on August 10, 1947 and he passed away July 8, 1974. She married Chester Klemans on April 4, 1975 and he passed away December 19, 1991.Survivors include; three sons, Jim Biddle of Crawfordsville, William G. Biddle of Crawfordsville, Robert Biddle of Milligan; three daughters, Chris Haywood of New Richmond, Leatha Coffing of Crawfordsville and Mary Mann of Cloverdale; daughter-in-law, Cindy Biddle of Crawfordsville; brothers, David Lowe, Albert Lowe, Lester Lowe of Ladoga, Clyde Lowe, of Florida, Harold Lowe, Wally Lowe, both of Ladoga; sisters, Alberta Gerald, Virginian Wineger, Gladys McIntyre, all of Ladoga; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edgar E. Biddle; two granddaughters, Barbara Biddle Melvin and Rachel Haywood; two brothers, Danny and Richard Lowe; two sisters, Marjorie Campbell and Ada Lewis.Family and friends can pay their respects from Noon to 3 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Services will begin at 3 PM, led by Pastor Steven Blaydes, Jr. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Darlington.Online condolences may be made by visiting www.BurkhartFH.com.
