Hi I’m Eden, this was my mother, she was an amazing person and I’m so sad I didn’t get to say goodbye, she had such an amazing heart and she made everyone smile. We all loved her. ❤

ALLISON's Obituary

            Allison Gardner Powers Ashcraft, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, formerly of Henderson, Kentucky, arrived in Heaven Friday, May 23, 2025, on her 37th birthday.  She died at home peacefully in her sleep.

            While living in Henderson, she was a member of First Baptist Church.  Allison was a Christian and was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, niece, and loyal friend.  She was a 2006 graduate of Henderson County High School and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University.  After spending several years as a pharmaceutical representative, Allison most recently worked as a substitute teacher with the Hardin County School System.  She loved working with older youth with a variety of challenges.

            She was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Marie Matthews Powers and Kenneth and Nelladean Woods; Grandma Jewell Grubb; Pa Paw Vaughn Smith; her uncle, Dr. James A. “Jay” Powers; and her dear friend, Jessy Hamilton Cooper.

            Survivors include her three children, Levi Coker, Eden Coker, and Brantley Ashcraft; her parents, Mark and Shelah Powers of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Evansville, Indiana; one uncle, Ivan Woods of Evansville, Indiana; Memaw Bobby Smith of Chrisney, Indiana; her Godmother, Jan Allison of Nashville, Tennessee; her dear friend, MacKenzie Cooke Everly of Louisville, Kentucky; many close cousins and friends.

            Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 307 Center Street, Henderson, Kentucky 42420.  The Reverend Sam Hinkson will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date.

            Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.

            Contributions may be made to Albion Fellows Bacon Domestic Violence Center in Evansville, Indiana, or your local domestic violence shelter, or First Baptist Church in Henderson.
