Alma Benjamin Welch, Sr.

Alma Benjamin Welch, Sr. 77, of Osceola died November 2, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was a retired factory worker, a member of New Jefferson Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Keiser and an Elder of the church. Mr. Welch was born January 16, 1943 in Okolona, AR to Joe Floyd Welch and Mannie Lou Sorrells. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Floyd Welch and Mannie Lou Joshua,his wife Ruthy Welch, one son Benjamin Welch, Jr., one daughter Charlotte Ann Welch, two brothers Little Brother Welch and Bobby Ray Dixon, one sister Lavern Talley, three grandchildren Robert Lamar Brown, Lakeisha Brown and Javion Dewayne Anderson. He is survived by his stepmother Hazel Welch of Gurdon, one son Stacy D. Welch, Sr. (Terri) of Atlanta, Ga, two daughters Juana Michelle Brown of Marion and Shonna (Curtis) Knighten of Osceola, two brothers Hossie Joe (Jacqueline) Welch of Highland, CA and Raymond Lee Welch of Rockford, IL, five sisters Laura Davis of Chicago, IL, Loretha Roberts of Flint, MI, Zandra (Andrew) Welch-Blevins of Memphis, TN, Lois Ann (John) Welch-Ware of Arkadelphia and Bobbie Jewel Franklin of Gurdon, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 6-8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Elder James Crockett officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
