Alphonse Ziemienski

Alphonse Ziemienski 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ. Born and raised in Plainfield, he graduated Plainfield HS and Alliance Technical College in Cambridge Springs, PA.. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatre. After being honorable discharged he began working for the Edward E Lewis Surveying Company in Plainfield. Later as a licensed engineer and land surveyor he worked for Harry L. Paff Associates Land Surveyors in Scotch Plains which he purchased and worked until retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors, New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Rotary Clubs. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean B. ( nee Snyder ), his son Gary and wife Nancy, Grandchildren Jason and wife Julie, Allison DeJesso and husband Joseph. Three great grandchildren Jack, Josie and Joey, his brother Theodore and wife Gloria, a niece and two nephews.Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday night from 5-8pm at the Rossi Funeral Home 1937 Westfield Avenue Scotch Plains. A service will be offered at 7:30pm. Inurnment Private.
