Alton Mike Lambert

Mr. Alton Michael “Mike” Lambert, age 69, of Laurel Hill, Florida, passed away on February 7, 2026.

Mike was born on October 19, 1956, in Harlingen, Texas, the son of Michael Alton Lambert and Anna Lou Martin Lambert. He spent much of his life working as a plumber in the construction industry, a trade he knew well and took great pride in. Mike was admired as a man who understood his craft, respected for his work ethic, and known as someone who never shied away from a hard day’s work. 

Outside of work, Mike found joy in simple, meaningful things. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, and he took special pleasure in caring for the cows on the farm, helping with their daily needs whenever he could. On Saturday afternoons in the fall, there was no mistaking where Mike would be—you would find him in front of the television, cheering on Alabama football, proudly declaring, “Roll Tide Roll.” He loved Alabama football, its rich traditions, and the joy of sharing that passion with family and friends.

Toward the end of his life, Mike got things right with the Lord, a decision that brought great peace and comfort to his family. They find assurance in knowing his heart was turned toward faith, and they rest in the hope that comes from that truth.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Gina Lambert; his parents, Michael Alton Lambert and Annie Lou Martin Lambert; and his sisters, Deb Lambert and Beth Lambert.

He is survived by his sons: Sean Lambert, (Vanida); Jeff Lambert, (Erica); David Lambert, (Katie); and Jake Lambert. He is also survived by his sister, Rhonda Beck, (Richard). Mike leaves behind five beloved grandchildren—Ethan, Evan, Mila, Riley, and Emma—to whom he was known simply as Grandpa, a name he cherished above all others. He is also survived by Jean Lambert, the mother of his 4 sons.

Funeral services for Mike Lambert will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
