Sorry to hear about (uncle) Alvin passing , (aunt) Betty. If heaven needed any more light, Al will wire it up. I remember when both of you had me paint your living room and my work light fell over and burned a hole in the carpet, both of you naturally said, no problem it can be patched easily ❤. Both of you were so charitable to me and Yvonne. Thank you for the great moments and memories that both of you added to the family. Always in my Prayers ❤

Grampa Al was always kind and always cheerfully extended himself warmly. Always a smile, always welcoming, and always a leader in his family. Our sincerest condolences to the entire family.

I remember when we all went to Cedar Point as kids, you and my daddy sitting up front with Aunt Betty and my ma - all of us kids in the back of the van.... we all loved your laugh and the amazing way you played the guitar - rest easy, Uncle Alvin, youve earned your place in Heaven with Our Lord

So many fond family memories when we were younger and through the years. Your sense of humor, light hearted Ness, and ability to love unconditionally will remain with allow us. RIP dear brother. You have earned your eternal reward. ❤

Alvin's Obituary

GIROUX, SR., Alvin E. of Clarkston; passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025; age 92.  Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 68 years.  Loving father of Alvin E. (Susan) Giroux, Jr., Kevin (Linda) Giroux, Jeannie (Paul) Marshall, Craig (Kim) Giroux, Brian (Lori) Giroux, Denise (Brian Fulcher) Giroux, and Scott Giroux.  Proud grandfather of 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.  Alvin was one of 12 children and is survived by 4 of his 11 siblings.  Dearest brother of Barbara (late Ronnie) Gilman, Helen (Robert Ethier) Davison-Ethier, Judy (Michael) Allen, and Linda House.  Alvin is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Alvin owned and operated Omega Electric, Inc.  He was proud to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  Alvin played the guitar in a band for many years and enjoyed playing golf into his late eighties.  He loved spending the winters in Florida with Elizabeth.  His light hearted sense of humor had a way of making even strangers feel like friends.

Scripture Service Monday, July 21st at 6 pm at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston where family and friends may visit on Monday from 4-8 pm.

In State Tuesday, July 22nd from 9:30 am until 10 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford.

Rite of Committal All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
