Amanda Lynn Finley of Opp, Alabama, passed away on February 12, 2026.
Amanda found peace and comfort in the simple beauty of the outdoors. Nature was where she felt most at ease, whether it was the quiet of open air, the stillness of a peaceful moment outside, or simply being surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation. It was there that she felt calm, comforted, and close to something greater than herself.
She also had a deep love for music. Music was a constant companion in her life. She was always listening filling her days and quiet moments with songs that lifted her spirits and soothed her heart. Music had a way of carrying her through difficult times and enhancing joyful ones. It was more than entertainment to Amanda; it was a source of comfort, expression, and emotional strength.
Above all, Amanda loved her family. Time spent with those she loved was precious to her. Family was central to who she was, and she cherished the moments she shared with them. She especially treasured her role as “Nana,” a name she wore with pride and deep affection. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and meaning.
Amanda was at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family takes comfort in that assurance.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Finley; her sons, Jonathan Jackson and Jacob Finley Phillips; her daughters, Chrissy Jackson, Cheyenne Jackson, and Makayla Jennings; her brothers, Gary Wayne Gilmore and Donnie Hilliard; and her beloved grandchildren, Grace Jackson and Caleb Jones Jackson.
A celebration of life service will be announced soon by Evans Funeral Home.
