Amparo S. Alla, 81 of Groton, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and mother who passed peacefully at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London on January 07, 2026. Amparo was born December 24, 1944, in Iloilo Philippines to Federico Salarda and Amalita Logronio Salarda. She married Leonardo Alla; he preceded her in death in 2012.
Amparo also known as Ampy was shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.
She now joins our Heavenly Father along with her husband, parents and siblings Leonilla Sales, Anacita Salarda and Precioso Salarda.
Amparo is survived by her loving children, daughter Missy Gamboa and her husband Noel, son Amiel Alla and his wife Malou; beloved grandchildren Mico, Miggy, Tiffany, Nimyel, Neo, Alec, Karina and Aleah; siblings Dolores Salarda, Pabiolo Salarda, Manolo Salarda, Juan Salarda and Edwin Salarda; fur babies Yoshi, Yohan and Mochi)
She will be missed and loved by her numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 5:30pm Saturday January 17, 2026, Funeral Services will commence at 5:30pm at Byles Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street in Groton.
