Amparo Garcia Salcido, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on September 28, 2025. She was born on June 29, 1936, in Mexico, to Manuel and Susana Garcia.
Amparo was a woman of deep love and dedication. She married Francisco Salcido, and together they shared sixty-five years of marriage. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into raising nine children, always putting family first. Her greatest joy was her roles mother, and grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply, and her life was defined by her devotion to family, kindness, and care for others.
Amparo was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Susana Garcia; her siblings, Elva Madrid, Manuela Tavarez, Armando Garcia, Enrique Garcia, Romelia Gomez, Celia Lara, Socorro Carrasco; her beloved son, Eduardo “Eddie” Salcido; and her grandson, Jorge Eduardo Martinez.
She is survived by her husband, Francisco Salcido, and her children:

· Nohemi Salcido
· Frank Salcido and his wife, Eva Salcido
· Mary Salcido and her husband, Jorge Martinez
· Shena Martinez and her husband, Juan Martinez
· Baldemar Salcido and his wife, Maria Garrett
· Leticia Velazquez and her husband, Fernando Velazquez
She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Justin Lochridge, Vanessa Salcido, Veronica Cantu, Catrina Salcido, Melina Salcido, Bianca Salcido, Jessica Ulloa, Jennifer Aragon, Alexis Salcido, Alyssa Salcido, Adrian Martinez, Ashley Martinez, Xavier Costilla, Baldemar Salcido, Jr., Amarissa Mota, Yssenia Salcido, Arianna Mota, Annaliese Leyva.
Her love lives on through her great-grandchildren: Joe Arguello III, Abigail Hernandez, Javen Arguello, Isabel Tobias, Ethan Hernandez, Heaven Smolko, Hailey Lochridge, Andrea Cantu, Jasmine Lochridge, Alicia Cantu, Cesar Cantu, Maximus Ulloa, William Ulloa, Nicolas Ulloa, Sammuel Ulloa, Abraham Munoz, Malaki Costilla and Mikaei Costilla, Baby Zoey Page and Great-Great Grandbaby Joe Arguello
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Amparo’s memory will forever be cherished by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue to guide those who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who went before her. In sorrow and in gratitude, she will be remembered always. May her love continue to guide and comfort us, now and always, until we are reunited again.
Funeral services for Amparo will be held at Lewellen-Garica-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Prayer service will be held Tuesday, September 30, at 6:00 p.m.; Viewing will be Tuesday, Sept. 30th from 10:00AM - 9:00PM, Wednesday Oct. 1st from 10:00AM - 9:00PM and Thursday, Oct. 2nd from 10:00AM - 1:00PM at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m.; Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
A celebration of Amparo’s life will be held at the Whitehorn Event Center after the burial.
