He was always ready for a good laugh. We have sang on grandma's front porch and what good precious memories! Loved him, ma has told me some funny stories about when they were growing up . May the good Lord wrap his arms around you and comfort you , not just now but in the days ahead. Its hard to let them go ....... Love all of you!

Andrew Jackson “Jack” Farley, 95, of Sidney, KY, passed away on January 5, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jack was born on October 16, 1930, in Hardy, Ky the son of the late, John Lee Farley and Fern Smith Farley. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Launie Ruth Reed Farley; his second wife, Betty Jean Coleman Farley; his grandson, Wade Shane Coleman; his siblings, Cletis Farley, Cecil Farley, Maxine Doan, Mary Yates, Pat Farley and Bobby Farley. Jack was a former tool and die worker for Chrysler Motor Company in Michigan and was a member of the Toler Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra (Lat) Smith of Sidney, KY, Sandra (Ray) Cole of Morehead, KY, Patricia Smith of Turkey Creek, KY and Lenora (Ron) Vernatter of Somerset, KY; his stepchildren, Sheilla (Greg) Coleman, Regina (Chad) May, and Dwayne (Media) Coleman; his siblings, Phyllis Killia of Paducah, KY, Burl Farley, Stirl (Shirley) Farley and Ray (Trudy) Farley all of Michigan. Jack also leaves behind 11 Farley grandchildren, 25 Farley great-grandchildren, and 11 Farley great-great grandchildren; 6 Coleman grandchildren, 3 Coleman great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving family members and friends.
Funeral services for Jack will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2026, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home beginning at 1 PM, with Roger Mullins and Ed May officiating. Burial will follow at the Reed Cemetery at Turkey Creek, KY, with Benjamin Vernatter, Robby Smith, Joshua Dunkelberg, Jacob Dunkelberg, Zach Smith, Glenn Vernatter, Daniel Coleman and Hunter May serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 6-9 PM at the funeral home, with special services at 7 PM. R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Farley family.
