Not sure what to say?

Andy was a good friend. We spent many times together discussing life and family. He will be missed.

It is amazing that we say goodbye on your birthday.
It was meeting you through Libby that I’ll remember best. She assured me that you would make improving my kitchen easy. You helped me so much. Thank you!
Am sending warm and loving sympathy to your family.

Andy, you are missed and loved and will be long remembered. We're so happy for our family gatherings in recent years and have so much love and respect for the way you lived your life.
Libby and Steve, we send our love!

Libby, I just watched the beautiful photo tribute. So many memories came flooding by. You have truly been Andy’s soulmate for which I am so thankful. Prayers for peace and strength for you and Stephen.

As we look at photos I keep hearing Andy’s voice: calm, finding humor, caring. Remember meeting Andy and Libby, along with the rest of Michael’s family, at Jim and Katharine’s wedding in Juneau in 1983. A fun side trip with Andy and Libby taking the ferry to Skagway. Fast, fast, fast forward through precious memories of many Heumann family occasions, both happy and bittersweet, up to Juneau in July 2025 for the last “Heumann brothers” reunion.

I am so saddened to learn of Andy's passing. He was a kind and gentle man. I have so many great memories of Andy, we spent lots of fun times together in LB. He was a dear friend. While we have been miles apart for years, I am so glad I was able to visit with him last summer. I will remember Andy fondly! My heartfelt condolences to Libby and Stephen and to Michael, Bill and Jim.

I’m crushed. Finding out about this just today. I can’t think straight. Working with Andy for 5 years at the Depot and always joking about the orange blood accumulated while working and the desire to get rid of it and hundreds of other conversations. I considered Andy a true friend and my life took another punch to the stomach today. My condolences to the family and to all who knew and loved him like I did. He will be sorely missed and always remembered.

I’m glad to have spent time with and gotten to know Andy when he and Libby visited us on the East Coast and when we visited Mundelein. And I’m so sorry he passed too soon! My deep sympathies to his family and friends. I’m sure he’s at peace and in a better place!

I am Carol Eaton, Bert’s wife living in North Carolina. I have known the Heumann family since 1963 and enjoyed when they all visited Judy and Ed who lived in Sewickley, Pa. I keep up with Anne Eaton and she texted the news to me. Bert passed in 2019. I am sorry to learn of Andrew’s passing. I will keep Andrew’s family in my prayers. Blessings, Carol Eaton
