Lamont and I had been neighbors since childhood and grew to be even closer as friends after finding we both transplanted from Illinois to Alabama. He was always a gentle soul, willing to lend a listening ear and a helping hand whenever asked. My prayers are with his family and his son as you honor his life and treasure the memories.

Angelo will be missed. I got to know him and Donald years ago working along side them. Angelo was always a great co-worker, and good person. Prayers for Donald and the rest of his family for this early loss of a loved one.

Angelo's Obituary
Funeral service for Angelo Lamont Southard of Huntsville, Alabama will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Saint Mark Primitive Baptist Church (740 W Sanderfer Rd, Athens, AL 35611) with Pastor Kenneth Owens as officiant. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. Interment and committal will be at the Thatch-Mann cemetery.
On Sunday, February 8, 2026, public viewing will be from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home.
