Ann and Bob were patients in my dental practice for several years.They were very nice people and I always enjoyed visiting with them. It was my good fortune to know them. My sincere sympathy to their family.

Obituary

Ann's Obituary

Ann J. Hazard, 95, Lacona, widow of Robert I. Hazard, passed away Tuesday evening, February 10th, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at Holy Family Church, 129 Winthrop St., Watertown, with Rev. John Demo officiating.  Calling hours will begin at 10:30 am at the church on Saturday.  Burial will be in the spring in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown.  

Ann is survived by her daughter Denise Gray, Lacona, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Hazard, Sandy Creek, Robert Jr. and Bonnie Hazard, Carthage; her grandchildren Joshua (Kasia) Hazard, Melissa (John) Scanlon, Paul Hazard, Robert (Leanne) Hazard, Anthony (Bethany) Hazard; several great grandchildren and two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers, Burns, Robert, and Charles Edick.

She was born in Watertown, June 9, 1930, a daughter to Glenn and Francis O’Brien Edick, and graduated from Sandy Creek High School.  Ann was the office manager for her husband’s construction company, “Mr. Kitchens” in Lacona.  Mr. Hazard predeceased Ann in 2018.

Ann was a communicant of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Lacona.  She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and working around her home.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the fourth floor PCU at Samaritan Medical Center for the excellent care and comfort given to Ann and her family during her time at the hospital.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 16301.
