Ann's Obituary

Mrs. Ann M. Napholz, 91, of Gainesville and formerly Lake Wales, Florida died on the 29day of July 2015 in Gainesville's Hospice House of natural causes. She was born on September 28th, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a retired homemaker and the faithful wife of Emil J. Napholz for nearly 70 years. They raised their three children, Michael, Patricia and Marianne in Cleveland and Sandusky, Ohio. She worked as a comptometer operator and as a school assistant in Cleveland. She also volunteered in Sandusky at St. Mary's school and her daughter Marianne's Campfire girls group. She and her late husband attended and were active in various churchs, including St. Adalbert's church in Cleveland OH, St. Mary's in Sandusky OH, St. Mathews Parish in Winter Haven FL along with the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales. She and her husband were members of American Legion post #8 in Winter Haven, and were also members of the Elks and Moose clubs in Lake Wales. Ann is survived by her daughters Patricia (Gainesville), Marianne (Mason Ohio) and five grandchildren, Jason, Holly, Jacob, Nicolas and Alex along with five great grandchildren. Also two son-in-laws both named Mark and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Michael in August of 2001 and her husband Emil in December of 2012. All of her family resides in either Florida or Ohio.Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00PM Monday, August 3, 2015 at Johnson-Nelson-Gill Chapel. The most Holy Rosary will be recited at 5:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on the 4th day of August 2015 at 10 am. The Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Wales. Interment will follow in the Lake Wales Cemetery.
