Anna June Myers

Anna June Myers, 100, formerly of Grove City, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Shippenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

She was born on February 16, 1925 in Callensburg, she was the daughter of JR and Lottie (Heeter) Dunlap. 

June married Robert D. Myers on November 22, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1994. 

She was a bank teller for 20 plus years at Mellon Bank in Grove City. June was a member of the Eastern Star and she attended the Methodist church in Grove City and Clarion. She also volunteered at the Grove City Hospital for many years. 

In her spare time she enjoyed, reading, word searches, puzzles, coloring, traveling with Bob in their younger years and spending time with family and friends.  

June is survived by a sister-in-law, Myrna Dunlap of Sligo, one niece, Cheryl and her husband Kevin of Rimersburg, two great nieces, one great nephew, one great great niece and one great great nephew. She is also survived by several cousins. 

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers; John Dunlap and an infant brother, James Dunlap, and a niece, Linda Harris. 

June’s family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo from 11 AM to 12 PM Noon. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM Noon with the Lay-Pastor, Peggy Mortimer, officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Callensburg Cemetery. 

The family suggests memorials be made to the Eccles Lesher Memorial Library in Rimersburg, 673 Main St. P.O. Box 359 Rimersburg, PA. 16248.
