Anna's Obituary

Anna Hawkins Pittman made her transition peacefully to eternal Life on Tuesday, September 23,2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.   Anna Bell Hawkins was born June 26, 1951 to Aliner and Reverend Alvin Hawkins.  

She accepted Christ at an early age.   She united with Liberty Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Hawkins.

Anna was educated in the Pontiac School System and upon graduation she attended Oakland Community College and was employed at Oakland County Childrens Village.

She was united in holy matrimony with Reverend James Pittman.  To that union they raised seven children, Jamar (Ty), James Arnold, Tenisha, Cierra, Angelica, Angelic, and Angela Pittman,  along with other numerous foster children.

Anna leaves to cherish her memories her children, sisters Allie M. Dinkins and Elsie Hawkins, two sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Mary Hawkins and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Alvin Hawkins, mother Aliner Hawkins (Curtis) Sparks, husband, Reverend James Pittman, brothers, Al J, Willie, Jimmie (Betty), Sammie and Calvin Hawkins, and one brother-in-law Robert Dinkins 

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Oct 2, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 11:30am and the service will promptly start at 12:00pm.
