Anne Catherine Gannon Farley of Brooklyn passed peacefully after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Anne was born in Valley Stream, Long Island, on April 18th, 1941. She attended New Paltz University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. At Adelphi University she received two Master’s degrees, one in History and one in English.
Upon meeting and falling in love with her husband, Peter Farley, the couple found their way to Freeport, Long Island, where they spent 40 years raising a family of eight. Anne was a beloved elementary school teacher in the Freeport school system for many years. She was a voracious reader, an active member of the community, and she loved to travel.
She is survived by her husband Peter (91), her eight children: Margaret, David, Catey, John, Tom, Paul, Liz, and Chris; her two grandchildren Lucy and Damien; her brother Frank and her sister Mary Jane.
