Ms. Anabel was my first licensed hair stylist . I met her at the age of 15 and immediately she had a special place in my heart . I could share “ lil secrets “ and she became like another mom to me . She and her husband were God parents to our oldest son . She was and remains to this day someone that will be treasured and definitely loved by me.
Ms. Anabel , may your soul be at rest and in Peace .

Ms. Annie Bell who I later called Momma Bell was a supportive family friend for more than 65 years. She was truly a blessing to me. Loving, kind and my first professional hair stylist. I will love you forever, your other sister, Phyllis Murray

God has once again rung the golden bell and has taken a beautiful, precious soul to be with Him throughout eternity. May God grant this family the peace that is needed to sustain them during this sadden time. To my dear sweet friend, Thea know that I am praying for you and your family. Mrs. Annie's Obituary

Annie Bell Davis was born on January 11, 1937, in Beaumont, Texas, to the union of Leo and Minerva Stagg. Early in her life, she accepted God through Jesus Christ and became a member of Peaceful Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

She received her education at Hebert High, Class of 1955, and the Hamilton School of Beauty Culture. Annie Bell later married Elam W. Davis, Sr., and became a member of Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. Elam remained her faithful husband until his death in 2015. To their union, four children were born: daughters, E’Lana and Euphemia, and sons, Elam Jr. and Heath. Later, after marrying Elam, they opened Annie’s Beauty Salon, where she served the community for 39 years.

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Annie Bell entered eternal rest surrounded by her children and friends.

Those remaining to cherish her memories are her daughters, E’Lana R. Davis and Euphemia T. Davis, of Beaumont, Texas; sons, Elam Davis Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Heath Davis (Jenita) of Kountze, Texas; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Landry, of Beaumont, Texas; sister-in-law, Jeralean Stagg, and a host of nephews, nieces, loving family, and friends who will truly miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and five brothers.
