Anthony's Obituary

MINAYA-Anthony M. Minaya, age 86, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband for 42 years to Jean Randall Minaya and son of the late Antonio Minaya and the late Gloria Varona Minaya, entered into rest on Thursday, April 28, 2016. In addition to this wife, he is survived by a son, Scotty (Suzanne) Carpenter of Warrenville; daughters, Sherry (Todd) Hendrix of Lexington, S.C. and Cindy (Rich) Wright of Pennsylvania; brothers, George Minaya of New Jersey and Al Minaya of California and five grandchildren. He was born in Manhattan, NY but has been a resident of Aiken County since l976. He was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and Treasurer. During his working years, he worked as a Manager over Import/Export for McCampbell Sales Division in New York. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 86 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his friends and loved ones. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Rev. J. B. Redd and Rev. Landon Williams officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Jim Beck, Len Browder, Jimmy Splawn, Erik Splawn, Mark Key and Ronnie Moore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to extend a "Heartfelt Thank You" to the Doctors and Staff of University Heart and Vascular Center in Augusta for the love and care that they gave their loved one during his stay there.
