He gave us Jesus so we are able to return to the magnificent love he has for us. What a Blessing, just as Arlene was a blessing to her family and loved ones. Arlene was a wonderful sister. Losing her is hard and she will be missed a lot. She always had lots of energy and was kind, considerate, helpful to others and fun to be around. Among many other things, I will always remember the times we spent together with our spouses and our same-aged children at Daytona Beach Shores. May she rest in peace.

Arlene Specht
Vassar, MI
Passed away on January 19, 2026 at My Michigan Health Saginaw; age 87 years. Arlene was born on February 10, 1938 to the late Herbert and Caroline Palmreuter. Arlene worked at the Saginaw Fruit Company for years, and at the Halfway Truck Stop. Arlene was married to the late Edward Specht. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Arlene enjoyed quilting, gardening, bird watching, but most of all she loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Bonnie (Danny) McInerney, Cheryl (Jim) Marth, Lori Nugent (Matt) Schmitzer, Rick (Carol) Reinbold, Eddie (Jennifer) Specht; grandchildren Tim (Rina) Nugent, Jeremy (Nicole) Porath, Heather Fierstine, Lindsey (Brandon) Senauit, Elliana Specht, Sydni Specht, Jagger Lotter, Marcie (Jerry) Nothelfer, Dasha Moore; great grandchildren Tristan and Braiden Nugent, Mason and Adalyn Porath, Lucas and Haven Petrella, Shelby, Samantha, Shayleigh, Skylar Senauit, Dustin and Nicole Nothelfer, Maddie and Cody Moore, Cyril McInerney; brothers Tony Palmreuter, and Gerald Palmreuter.
Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Joel Eden will officiate. Burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. Arlene’s family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or the Saginaw County 4-H.
