I have known Arlene for a lifetime. As we were growing up, it was always Arlene and Barb and Karen and Phyllis. We are cousins and will always be family Love and prayers for her family

Knew both Arlene and Jerry through employment at Minster Bank. Very fine people. Arlene was always so friendly and sincere.

Arlene was a great lady always had a nice smile and enjoyed talking to her at family reunions

Arlene's Obituary

Arlene J. Wissman, age 81, of Minster, Ohio, died on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Elmwood New Bremen.  She was born on September 5, 1943 in Osgood, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Marietta (Schemmel) Holthaus. She married Jerome “Jerry” Wissman on May 14. 1966 in St. Michael Church, Fort Loramie. He survives in Minster. She is also survived by children: Ted & Amy Wissman, Minster, Lynell & Terry Bowen, Spanish Fort, AL, Jennifer Wissman, Seattle, WA, grandchildren: Taylor, Kaycie, Jacob, Christian, step grandchildren: Heather & Jo Floyd and Chase & Caitlyn Bowen, step great grandchild: Camille, sisters: Karen & James Anthony, Fort Loramie, Sylvia Grimes, Piqua, Jeanette & Dale Ranly, Minster sister-in-law Catherine Holthaus, Sidney,   She was preceded in death by brother John Holthaus, brother-in-law Joe Grimes, Jim & Mary Wissman, John & Ann Wissman.  Arlene was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Church Folk Group and the Mission Commission.  She attended St. Clare’s Convent, Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was employed at Dr. Spieles’ office and Minster Bank.  She enjoyed chocolate, sewing and loved being with family, especially grandchildren.  Her faith and praying the Rosary were very important to her.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio, burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM and on Friday, June 20 from 9 to 9:30 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grand Lake Hospice and Shrine of the Holy Relics, Maria Stein.   Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
