Arnold Michael Rice, 70 of Lincoln Township, died Monday November 17, 2025 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born July 26, 1955 in Bad Axe, son of the late Valentine and Bernice (Koroleski) Rice.
Arnold was a member of Annunciation of the Lord Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dwight.
He graduated from North Huron Schools and was a passionate dairy and crop farmer in Lincoln Township. He always loved his Ford tractors; he battled cancer for 6 years until God called him home.
The many visits from friends and family brought him much happiness and comfort. He enjoyed playing cards, watching the Lions football and Detroit Tigers baseball games, and of course rubbing lottery tickets.
Surviving are his sister, Marge Szymanski of Port Austin; brothers, Donald and his wife Denise Rice of Filion, and Ricky and his wife Kim Rice of Kinde; Sister in-laws Lorraine Rice of Port Austin and Marilyn Rice of Kinde. Known as Uncle Arnold, he will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews along with several great-nieces and nephews.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Walter, his wife Patricia Kretchman, Gerald Rice, and Randy Rice; his sister Patricia and her husband Don Drews, brother – in- law George Szymanski and niece, Renee Rogers and great-nephew Ryan Koth.
The family would like to thank the Heartland Hospice Group; Connie, Bobbie, Chelsea, Renee and Chaplin David Yelland.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 a.m. Friday November 21, 2025 at Annunciation of the Lord Parish (St. Mary’s Catholic Church Dwight) with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday November 20, 2025 at MacAlpine Gage Chapel with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be at the church 10a.m. until time of service on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Memorials in honor of Arnold may be offered to the family discretionary fund c/o Ricky Rice.
