Veedersburg - Aron Lee Bushor, 51, rural Veedersburg, passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 5:15 p.m. Aron was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on February 6, 1974. He was the son of Cheryl Elaine (Goodrick) Bushor of Veedersburg and the late Gary Robert Bushor. Aron spent his early childhood in Longwood, FL, He later moved to Lafayette in 1986 and in 1988 moved to West Lebanon where he graduated from Seeger Memorial High School in 1993. Following graduation from high school Aron entered the U.S. Army and served during the Gulf War in Korea. At the time of his honorable discharge in 1997 he had attained the rank of SPC E4. Following his service, Aron began working at C & D Battery in Attica from 1997 until 2002. He worked as a battery assembler, retiring due to his disability. Aron was a member of the Eagles Lodge # 347 of Lafayette. He enjoyed doing and teaching mechanical work with his son and his much loved “delinquent protègès. He liked to play video games and card games with the family. Family was important to him and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Autumn. On December 17, 1999, Aron married Abby K. Knepprath in Williamsport, IN. Aron leaves behind his wife of nearly 26 years along with his mother, Cheryl Bushor, Veedersburg; a son, Zachary Bushor, Veedersburg; a granddaughter, Autumn Rose Bushor, Veedersburg; a sister, Melissa (Tim) Meeker, Attica; his aunt and uncle, Linda and Thomas Hoffon, Debary, FL; an aunt, Martha White, Williamsport; nephews, Bryce and Parker Meeker, Attica; Brett, Jordan and Jacob Holley, Lafayette; Aaron Austin, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gene Bushor; his father, Gary Robert Bushor; an uncle, Wayne Goodrick and his step-father, Charles Rogers. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, August 21st from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A memorial gravesite service with military honors will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery, Romney on Monday, August 25th, at 2:00 p.m. with American Legion Post # 52 of Attica and the U.S. Army providing services.
