Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers to all Wilbern’s family. I know he was loved immensely by all. It has been a long time since we saw each other at a Kervin/Cain reunion he hosted. I am a cousin, Uncle Arthur was my Mom’s (Pearl Kervin Cain) brother.
Sending prayers to all.

Arthur's Obituary

Arthur Wilbern Kervin 90, of Votaw, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 05, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on August 19, 1934, Wilburn, lived a life defined by faith, hard work, and morals.

In his younger years, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he began a long and successful career in the oilfield, where he worked his way up to become a highly respected drilling consultant. His work took him across the globe—to places like Saudi Arabia, Africa, Egypt, and beyond—earning not just professional success, but stories he would go on to tell for the rest of his life.

He was the beloved husband of Tina Kervin, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years of marriage—a life rich in love, weekend dancing in their younger days that turned into slow dancing in the living room as they grew older, working side by side running Kervin’s RV Park, and hosting fish fries and barbecues every chance they got.

He loved running trot lines at sunrise, catching every morning broadcast of Fox News, proudly watching his daughter on TV each Sunday, retelling the story of how he adopted Damon like it was yesterday, and doing his best to keep the twins on the straight and narrow whenever he could.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Kervin; his children, Suzanne and her husband Mike Loftin, Damon Kervin and his wife Tonya, Andrew Kervin and his wife Destiny, and Aaron Kervin and his wife Aubree. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Kervin. He was a proud grandfather to Brandon Loftin and wife Melanie, Melanie Beasley and husband Carl, Ayson Kervin, Dawson Kervin, Adelyn Kervin, Kai and Paislee Tamez, and Juniper Kervin, and was blessed with a multitude of great-grandchildren Laurel and husband Weston, Logan Loftin, Lyndley Loftin, Andrew Beasley and wife Kamryn, Anneliese Beasley, Cason Beasley, Chelsea Loftin, and a great-great granddaughter Carsyn Beasley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Donia Edna Kervin; his sisters Edna Marie Bell, Elberta Loftin, and Billie Jean Tomlinson; and his beloved granddaughter, Amanda Loftin and great-granddaughter Layla Loftin.

Visitation will be held on May 8, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at River of Life Church in Trinity, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow immediately at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
