Aubrey "Mike" Michael Russell, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Mike Russell. Sr., age 70 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Womack officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Mike attended Weston High School. He started working as a mechanic at Roberson Logging and Lumber and later drove a truck for them. Mike retired from Foster Farms, in maintenance, after over 25 years. He loved to ride motorcycles and spend time with his family. Mike had a special bond with his mother and always found time to spend with her. He was an avid tinkerer and was known to his children and grandchildren as Inspector Gadget and Pappy. Mike was a loving husband and Godsend to Mrs. Jatis. 

Mike was preceded in death by his father: Bobby Ray Russell; brother: Ronnie Russell; paternal grandparents: Ladell and Ora Sehon Russell; maternal grandparents: Melvin Aubrey and Betty Gray Taylor Gilbert; mother-in-law: Willie Mae Brown; sister-in-law: Nena Kaye Ross; brother-in-law: Martin Walker; and a number of Uncles, Aunts, and other family members.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Jatis Russell; mother: Peggy Brown (Carl); two daughters: Wendy Skains (Mickey) and Pam Russell; two sons: Aubrey Russell, Jr. and Matthew Russell; nine grandchildren: Patience Skains, Tristen Jones (Santana), Ty Parker, Bobby Russell, Kaleb Russell, Cadence Skains, Gabe Russel, Zenna Russell, and Jensen Russell; five great grandchildren: Diesel, Zachary, Joleigh, Remington, and Isaiah; sister: Terri Brown (Curt); brother in laws: John Ross, Bobby Walker (Diane), and Gene Walker; sister in law: Vickie Walker; and a special niece: Logan Brown.
