Audrey Elaine Swanson

Audrey & I were best buds for some of our high school years. ( Bob & I had grown up as almost neighbors.) I recall riding the school bus with Audrey to her family farm home and spending sleepovers there. She was a high-energy, get-it-done gal. We had good times together. I am mourning the losses of Audrey and Bob and celebrating their contributions to their community and to my early life.

Audrey was one of my classmates in St. James and I remember her as being friendly and smiling a lot.

Aunt Audrey, I know you are in a better place now, and that you feel no pain. I hope all has been revealed to you. I remember fondly going to your cabin on Rice Lake, with my brother and your sister Jean, my grandmother, as a boy, to fish, and enjoy time with you and uncle Bob. I will meet you there, when my time comes. Rest In Peace. Amen.

I met Audrey through my sister-in-law Dianne. They were best friends. Audrey was always willing to chat, share stories! She always made me feel welcome. I know her family and friends will miss her.

What a wonderful neighborhood lady to have when I was growing up in farm country “north of town”. I’m sure her family is blessed with many wonderful memories.
