To Stephanie and Jennifer, we’re so sorry about your dad’s passing. He was always such a good neighbor to usoffering to help or loan tools. It was such a shockwe’d just seen him out mowing his lawn the week before. Prayers for you as you go through this heartbreaking time.

Life is full of surprises, you never think that the family around you will be gone one day, I was granted the privilege to spend time with you 2 months ago not knowing that it would be the last time, and you were the same as always, calm and humble, always meant well. You always had a passion for cars, and I will miss those conversations, brother-in-law. RIP

It broke my heart and my eyes got full of tears at the moment I heard the news of the passing of my cousin Agustin Lopez Junior. I'm so saddened by his death. To his daughters and the rest of his family, you have my deepest sympathy, condolences and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this very difficult time. Losing a family member or a friend doesn't seem fair, but I know that all of you, as well as his many friends, will cherish the many good memories we all hold of him. RIP,...

Augustin Lopez, Jr., 69, died Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born in Manhattan, NY, and had been a Hampton resident since 1988 when he retired from the US Air Force with 20 years of service.
An active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, he spent much of his time at the church preparing donations, assisting in repairs to the church as well as transporting those in need to their doctor appointments. If there was a need at the church, he was sure to be there. He recently traveled with a parish group to Kenya. There they met and learned from some of the communities that farm the fair-trade coffee which the parish serves and sells. Gus loved the experience. His dedication and services to the Immaculate Conception community will be missed deeply.
Augustin also had a true love for antique classic cars and traveling. He enjoyed restoring an old Ford Mustang and admiring classic cars at car shows. Augustin enjoyed traveling and road trips. He would spend many hours driving and exploring new cities on the way to visiting his family in New York. He recently visited Puerto Rico with his cousin.
Preceded in death by his father, Augustin Lopez, Sr. and a brother-in-law, Willie Cabrera; survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Lopez and Stephanie Reppert and her husband, Michael; his mother, Ana Lopez; three sisters, Nydia Cabrera, Susan Andrews and husband, Jim, and Mari Perez and husband, Benny; two grandchildren, Oliver M. and Liliana I.
