Ava's Obituary

Ava Lee Collins, 95, of Perryton, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Ava was born on September 4, 1929, in Hardeman County, Texas, to George Caswell Davis and Allie Lee Carver Davis.

Ava grew up in Quanah, Texas, where she attended Quanah First Assembly of God. At a young age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, a faith that guided her throughout her life. On September 7, 1946, Ava married the love of her life, Claude Rambo Collins. Together they built a beautiful life and family, blessed with three children: Judy Kaye, Galen Lynn, and Debra Ann, who passed away shortly after birth.

Ava was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her deep love and care for her family, her strong Christian faith, and her lively, fun, and sassy spirit. To know Ava was to be blessed by her presence—she was truly a joy to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Collins; her infant daughter, Debra Ann; and her grandson, Rodney Williams.

Ava is survived by her daughter, Judy, and husband Ron Schell of Perryton; her son, Galen Collins of Aubrey, Texas; and her cherished grandchildren: Jaclyn Johnson and husband Ken-G of Perryton, Brian Williams of Perryton, Vanessa Weaver and husband Chris of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Patrick Collins and wife Emily of Midlothian, Texas. She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Kaylee Newcomb and husband Kodey. Klaudia Mendoza and husband Luis, Kyle Johnson, Rigby Weaver, Olivia Collins, Levi Collins, and Violette Collins.

Ava’s legacy of faith, love, and laughter will live on through all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at the Assembly of God Church in Spearman, where Ava attended faithfully.
