My sincere condolences and prayers to Barbara's family and friends. Barbara and I were classmates at Williamson High School and neighbors in Maysville. She was such a devoted friend and will be missed.

Barbara's Obituary

Barbara Morisette Ball, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully passed away in her sleep in her family home on September 23rd. Barbara left a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Barbara was born on December 28, 1948. Barbara accepted Christ at a young age and grew in her faith at St. Paul A.M.E church under the leadership of Rev. A.T. Days.

Barbara was a proud graduate of Williamson High School, Class of 1968. Barbara dedicated many years of hard work and service to Mobile Gas, where she later retired. She had three (3) hobbies: Listening to Blues Music, Watching Favorite TV show (Family Reunion), and Hosting Gatherings with Family and Friends

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother Mary Lucille Morisette, sister Brenda Glenn, and daughter Stacey Ball Barker.

Barbara is survived by her son, Fred (Eudora) Ball III and daughter Michelle (Jonathan) Cox. Her legacy lives on through her adored grandchildren (Joslin Ball, Andrew Barker, Joshua Barker, Fred Ball IV, Sakina Ball, Jonathan Cox Jr., Jamari Cox, and Makayla Cox) and great grand-children (Dylan Barker, Ashlynn Simmons, Amberlynn Simmons, and Joshua Barker II),  nephews (Eddie Glenn and Richard Glenn) and great nieces and nephews (Eddie Glenn Jr, Latorria Glenn, Tariq Glenn, Christian Lewis, Myei’kerria Tate, and Chayse Glenn.

Barbara had a host of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

There will be a public viewing at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home on Friday, October 3rd from 11am – 5pm. The memorial celebration (no physical body present) will take place at St. Paul A.M.E. Church at 12pm on Oct. 4th.
