I stopped by St.John’s cemetery to visit my parents’ grave and saw that Barbara was buried nearby. I attended elementary school with Barbara, who was a quiet sweet girl. May she rest in peace.

Barbara C. Goida, 78, of Slatington, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born October 29, 1946, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Olga (Mayoryk) Goida. Barbara worked as a practical nurse at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton, and the North Whitehall Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, John.
Services: A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4th at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church in Barbara’s memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
