I met Barbara in 2005 or 2006, when we were in training to become Master Gardeners. A beautiful lady, she was kind and thoughtful. She was an active Master Gardeners until her health did not allow her to continue. I will miss her.

Barbara will truly be missed she was a kind and thoughtful person who loved her family and friends . She was a dear friend to me and lent an ear when I needed one . Barbara June Hall Mannen, 86 of the Friberg-Cooper and Cashion communities, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 17, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Burkburnett on Friday, October 24, 2025 with Rev. Joe Coombes, officiating. Interment will take place prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. The family will receive friends from 6 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the funeral home.
Barbara was born July 13, 1939 in Meers, Oklahoma to John Acord Hall and Mary Jane Meek Hall. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1957. Barbara met her late husband, Bobby Gene Mannen, while he was stationed at Fort Sill and they married January 1, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma. To this union were born three sons, Byron Scott Mannen, Brian Keith Mannen, Brent Royse Mannen; and one daughter, Beverly June Mannen.
An active member of the First Baptist Church of Burkburnett for 66 years. Along with her late husband Bobby, she served as a Cub Scout den leader, received the Wichita County 4-H Adult Leader Award in 1980 and was a member of the Burkburnett FFA parent's association. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church Burkburnett Choir, Burkburnett Garden Club, Glory Choir at First Baptist Church Wichita Falls, Red Hat Society, and the Friberg Cooper Community Organization. In her early years she sang on KSWO Radio with the Hall family band, The Oklahoma Stompers.
She is survived by her sons; Byron S. Mannen and wife Jennifer, of Wichita Falls; Texas, Brian K. Mannen and wife Carman, of Fairfield, Texas; Brent R. Mannen, of Wichita Falls, Texas; her daughter; Beverly June Mannen Long, of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; Raquel Long Watts, Maecy Mannen Platt, Mattey Mannen, and Michael Mannen and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene; brothers, Robert, Melvin, Douglas, Thomas and Franklin; sisters, Nora Tugmon-Rohenkohl, Mable Powell, Roma Carroll and Cleo Wheeler; parents, John Acord and Mary Jane Meek Hall; and grandparents, William Broadway and Alice Hannah Acord Hall and Columbus Casel and Celia Ann Moody Meek.
