Not sure what to say?

My sister, Barbie, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt and sister.
She was a kind and gentle soul. She loved to laugh and tease about funny things we siblings said or did in the past. She will be forever missed but I will treasures the fond memories we created together. Rest in Peace my dear, sweet, kind sister! ❤

Mrs. Barbara was amazing, kind hearted and funny.

Married into the family 19 years ago when I married Barb’s sister Connie. Always enjoyed time with Barb and her family. Her love of family was undeniable. This was the first Thanksgiving since our move to Calabash, NC in 2019 that we missed hosting Barb and daughter Brandy and the rest of the Davis family. We’ll do it again I’m sure, but it will not be the same. Sure hope Brandy learned how to turn a turkey carcass into a delicious soup like her mom could. Rest in peace dear Barb. We love you!

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Barbara's Obituary

Barbara Jane Knapp, 68, of El Dorado Arkansas passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at South Arkansas Regional Medical Center, El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born on August 19, 1957, to Bernell and Lois Benkie in LaPorte, Indiana. Barbara was an avid watcher of games shows and the food network. But her passion of television programs could be found on the jewelry channel, and what wonderful treasures she could find on that channel. Barbara was a collector of blue and white teapots that she could always find when out traveling or shopping. She enjoyed collecting rocks that caught her eye as well as enjoying her plants and flowers. But most of all she loved her grandbabies and grand fur babies. She was an avid cat lady and loved spoiling them.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bernell Benkie and Lois (Howell) Benkie Crites and her husband, Dennis Knapp.

Survived by her son, Steven (Crystal) Knapp, of El Dorado, Arkansas; daughter, Brandy (Shane) Davis of Woodstock, Georgia; sister, Bonnie (Joe) Faulstich of Crown Point, Indiana and Connie (Dick) Bohling of Calabash, North Carolina; brother, Terry Benkie of Wanatah, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashlyn (Drew) Dekutowski, Madalyn Davis, and Peyton Davis; and numerous Nieces, nephews and friends.
