Barbara M Lacey

Barbara M. (Beaudette) Lacey – Of Somerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was 83 years old.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Marion A. (Whitter) Beaudette. Barbara was known for her warm, social spirit; truly a social butterfly. She cherished gathering with friends over a cup of coffee, and if there was a social event happening, Barbara was sure to be there, greeting everyone with her radiant smile.

Family was at the center of her life. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and treasured every moment spent with them. Barbara also enjoyed simple pleasures, whether it was a lively game of bingo or settling in to watch wrestling.

Barbara’s infectious smile, joyful laughter, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Beloved mother of Treasa Sartell of Las Vegas, Sandy Lacey of Manfield, Lisa Lacey of Florida, Sheila Reardon of NH and the late Francis A. Lacey, III.

Cherished grandmother of David, Zachary, Sean, Jay, Sarah, Jacob, Dj, Matthew, and Megan. Loving great-grandmother of Sj, Bailey, Thomas, Tanner, Chloe, Hannah, Gemma, Avery, Willow, Layla, Camdon, Jayace, Dawson, Dominick and Damian and 4 on the way. Dear sister of Rita Beaudette of Somerville and the late Sandy Hamilton and Jane Manning. Also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. 

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine Church, 179 Summer St., at 11:30AM. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. 

Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to The Home for the Little Wanders, 72 E. Dedham St.  Boston, MA  02118
