To the children, grandchildren and family of Barbara, our heartfelt condolences for your loss. Even though she had prolonged health problems, her passing still came as a shock to us. She was our good friend. We knew Barbara as a humble, sweet, caring and very hard-working person. She always shared stories about her family. She was as happy to see, talk and laugh with us as we were to talk with her. A really wonderful person. We will miss her. God bless.

Barbara's Obituary

MAYNARD Barbara J. Maynard age 63, of Stratford passed away on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late John Evans and Constance (Connie) Petro Evans of Bridgeport. Barbara owned and operated a Cleaning Service Company. Barbara loved to cook and entertain friends and family at her home. The light of her life was being a grandmother to her 2 grandchildren, Everett and Avery Loxley. Barbara is pre-deceased by her husband, Richard Maynard. Survivors include three loving daughters, Allison Maynard of Stratford, Wendy Maynard Loxley (Chris Loxley) of Pelham, NY and Tammy Maynard of Stratford; two grandchildren, Everett and Avery Loxley of Pelham, NY; one sister, Deborah (Debbie) McMillan of Gainesville, Florida; 4 nieces and nephews from Florida and many loving friends and family. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, with interment immediately following at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
