Not sure what to say?

Greg and family, my deepest condolences to you. I have so many fond memories of Barb and the times we spent together. She made me laugh, and she made me a braver person. She had a heart of gold for others. I am blessed to have known her. My prayers for peace are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss Greg, Macy, Tommy, Anna and Mara. Barb and I were on the same CRHP team close to 30 years ago. I loved her and her quirky sense of humor. Her laugh made me laugh. May she rest in peace and may you know the comfort of our Lord.

We're so very sorry to hear this. I met Barb at a CRHP retreat at Holy Infant and then our daughter Anna and Macy were classmates and softball teammates at Holy Infant. I remember Barb as always being very involved and engaged with her kids. Also very proud of everything they did. I'm sure she will be terribly missed.

To Greg and the entire McAndrews and Ross family my sincere condolences. Barb was an amazing person and a pleasure to be around. She will be missed by all.

Greg and family, so sorry to hear. Jeannette and I are so saddened by the news.
We hold the memories of our times together close and continue to pray for your family.

Greg and family, I’m broken hearted for your loss. I pray that you are comforted knowing that she is in the loving arms of Jesus.

Your old friend,
Tim and Julie Compton

Barbara's Obituary

Barbara “Barb” McAndrews, age 60, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband, Greg McAndrews; her three children, Macy McAndrews, Tommy (Anna) McAndrews, and Mara McAndrews; and her siblings, Mike (Sally) Ross, Tom (Annie) Ross, Jim Ross, and Molly Ross. She is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Peggy Ross.

She was born on September 3, 1964, in Brentwood, Missouri. After graduating Lafayette High School in 1982, she attended Southeast Missouri State University and graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1987. After graduating, she began work for Maybelline Cosmetics while working nights to earn her MBA in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was there that she met the love of her life, Greg McAndrews, at Little Rock Air Force Base. After two years of spending every possible moment together, they were married on September 21, 1991.

Shortly after, they moved to Philadelphia where they welcomed their first child, Macy, and soon moved back to Barb’s hometown of Ballwin, MO. They moved into their forever home in 1996, where they welcomed their second two children Tommy in 1996 and Mara in 2000.

Being a mother was the calling of her life. She poured all of herself into her children and their pursuits from baseball and softball to theatre and music. Her children extended far past those to whom she gave birth (and her fur babies Bennie and Willow); anyone who entered her home was family, and they left feeling lighter and more loved than when they entered. She was a selfless caregiver for her mother and her aunt in their final years, and she never refused a request for help. She will be missed endlessly by those she left behind and welcomed warmly into Heaven by her loved ones.

Services:  A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, MO. A celebration of life mass will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Ballwin, MO.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society in memory of Barb at this link: https://raiseyourway.donordrive.com/campaigns/Honoring-the-Life-and-Love-of-Barb-McAndrews.
