Losing 2 great people in 3 years is hard for me...... but Barb is now reunited with her good friend Rita for more laughs and good times.

My condolences to the Perry's and family. she will 100% be missed. Her way with words and her funny conversations will be cherished. She is family to us.

The question to this post is, what can you say about Barbara? I don’t know if there enough space, but, here I go.

Barbara is my cousin. My farther Paul DeWolfe’s brother ( Fred’s) daughter.
She was an amazing person. Cheerleader who fell in love with the love of her life, Phil Perry. I use to babysit for them. My greatest memory was when they went to the movie with another couple. “The Birds”.

Barbara's Obituary

Barabara Ann (DeWolfe) Perry, a lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2025, she was 82. Born in Medford and raised in Somerville, Barbara was the daughter of Mary (Keane) and Frederick DeWolfe. A graduate of Somerville High School, she went on to marry Philip M. Perry. Together they were very active with St. Clement Parish where Philip served as the coach of the championship team of 1984 before his untimely passing in 1987.

Barbara worked for the Somerville Public School system first as a teacher’s aide, where she lovingly assisted with the city’s children and then as an administrative assistant. Above all Barbara was devoted to her family. She was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed being the Queen of Christmas. She is remembered for her generous and loving ways always putting her family first.

The beloved wife of the late Philip M. Perry, Barbara was the devoted mother of Sharon Perry-Gillette of Somerville, Kristen Flynn and her husband Tim, who was like another son, of Medford and James P. Perry and his wife, Michelle, who was like another daughter, of Somerville. Cherished Nana of Michael Gillette and his wife Ashley, Zachary Gillette and his husband Chad Hahne, Shailyn Chute and her husband Chris, Bailey Flynn, Braedon Perry and Kendall Perry, great grandmother of Emma Grace and Isabella Mae Gillette. Dear sister of Robert DeWolfe and his wife Patty of Methuen.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Tuesday, December 16th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. A Funeral Procession will begin on Wednesday morning, December 17th at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church at 11:00AM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
