Barbara Irene Rapchak, 86, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 30, 1940, Barbara was the daughter of the late Orville and Elsie (Pennepacker) Thierer. She attended Allentown High School, where she studied business and proudly served as a majorette. She later worked as a transcription professional for the District Justice, where she became highly proficient in shorthand. Together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family and faith. Barbara had a deep devotion to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Whitehall and cherished her church community. She enjoyed attending musicals and plays, and loved exploring house tours and flower tours. Above all else, Barbara loved her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.
