Barbara “Barbie” Nicole Schoos, 38 years, of Gary passed away in her home on Friday, March 12, 2021. Barbara was born on June 25, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois to Ronald & Willie Michelle (Wilhoite) Schoos Sr. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Schoos Sr.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by 3 daughters; Olliya Schoos-Combs of Indianapolis, Alecia Schoos-Combs of Indianapolis, and Michelle Schoos of Gary; 1 grandson; Davontay Alexander of Indianapolis; 4 brothers; Shawn Wilhoite of Gary, Joseph Schoos of Gary, Ronald Schoos of Indianapolis, and Jonathan Schoos of Gary. Barbara will also be forever remembered by her niece, nephew, and friends.
Barbara was a care taker for her mother for many years. In high school she was in ROTC, which of the many things she loved in life, this was a favorite. Barbara had many creative talents. She loved to draw, dance, and always had a creative idea. Everyone that loved and knew her knows she loved being a prankster. Barbara had a very soothing and calming voice when she spoke to you. She will be forever remembered for having a loving heart, big smile, and witty sense of humor that everyone enjoyed.
