Barry W. Cope, 61, of Anderson, passed away April 23, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional.He was born March 22, 1952 in Anderson, where he resided all of his life. He graduated in 1970 from Anderson High School and was a graduate of Ball State. He retired from Phillips Industries after 35 years.Barry was a member of West Cross Street Missionary Alliance and a former member of Anderson Country Club. He also loved all forms of sports.He is survived by his wife, Jody Cope of Anderson; daughters, Kelly (husband, Nick) Durr of Lapel and Jaime Cope (Kent Hemmick) of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Tatum, Sophia and Macey; mother, Martha J. Cope of Anderson; brothers, Jack (wife, Kitty) Cope of Anderson and Brian (wife, Lee) Cope of Charlotteville, VA; mother-in-law, Marie K. Phillips of Anderson; sister-in-law, Dr. Sharon Kay Andreoli; brother-in-law, Jay (wife, Carol) Phillips; nieces and nephews, Carly (husband, Paul) Brenner, Kasey Cope, Cariann Cope, Alex Cope, Eric Cope, Jennifer (husband, Avery) Hudspeth, Eric Andreoli, Josh Phillips (Kasey Ponsler), Jacob (wife, J. Nichole) Phillips and Laura (husband, Andrew) Forsman.He was preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Cope.Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Brown officiating.
