Mr. Pearce was not only my favorite teacher at LM, but someone I also called a friend throughout the past 40 years since graduating in 1984. I have so many wonderful memories of his teaching style, infused with humor and teasing.. I’ll never forget all the Snoopy items; the orange pinned to the board to let us (biology students) watch green mold take hold; him ‘stealing’ my shoes from under my desk; and getting a detention for talking too much in class, which turned into me becoming his boys’...

Barry was my colleague and friend. We used to share many smiles and much laughter with one another. May his love of life and his love for humanity never fade.

Barry was an amazing teacher and person. I was fortunate enough to attend Laura in high school from 1992 to 1995 and he was a teacher of mine. I believe my junior year maybe my senior year and he always had a smile on his face and was eager to help anyone who needed it. I now currently work at LM and was saddened to read of his passing. But please know that he left a lasting impression on everyone he ever interacted with..

I wish I had known. Barry and I used to get each other's mail at LM and kids would ask if we were married. I'm sorry I just found out. What a great guy and I'm very sorry for your loss.

To Barry's family,
I was genuinely shocked and saddened to read of Barry's passing. We had just been in touch 2 months ago, we were going to get together again to look through old family photos and documents. We both really enjoyed that, the first time we did it. I hadn't seen him in a few years, so it was a pleasure to reunite and share some wonderful memories of old times in Bay Head, when we were both much younger. My sincere condolences to you all.
