Bashir Ishmael Mitchell affectionately known as “Bash” to all that knew and loved him. Bash was born on March 31, 1998, to Lashone Miller and Sean Mitchell in Norfolk, VA. He departed this life on February 16, 2026, in Fredericksburg, VA.Bash lived with his parents in Norfolk, VA, and shortly after relocated to Dale City, VA, with his granny and auntie. He attended Prince William County and Stafford County public schools and eventually relocated back to Norfolk, VA, where he finished his high school education.Bashir completed his post high school education at Ashworth College in 2021 with honors. Bashir started his career as a sterile processor at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, in August 2022. He was employed there until July 2025. He enjoyed his work and was planning to add radiology to his list of accomplishments.Bashir loves his Mema and his granny dearly! When he was in their presence, he could do no wrong!Bashir was a gentle giant with a smile that would light up the room and melt your heart at the same time. To know him was to love him. He enjoyed laughing and cracking jokes about his mom and auntie. Bashir was a big animal lover. His pets included his hamster, Amy, beta fish Truly Rice, his snake, his two cats, tiger and blue, and his two dogs Soul and Reya. Bash once walked home in the snow after pulling an overnight shift because Reya was home alone, which is a testament as to how big his heart was. He was the same way about his family and friends. He gave the best hugs and enjoyed a good bread sandwich from time to time. He was a sneaker head and loved Nike Airforce 1's. He would often go online and design his own sneakers, picking colors that were different and eye catching making him stand out in the crowd.Bash enjoyed gaming, going to the movies and spending time with family. He looked forward to Sunday dinner at his auntie’s house and listening to his mother sing karaoke. He spoke highly of his brother, Deven and loved spending time with his niece and nephew.Left to cherish his memory, his mother, Lashone Miller (Nana); his father Sean Mitchell (Tamika); his grandmother, Renee Mitchell; great grandmother, Odessa Scott; two aunts, Tomika Johnson (DeVaughn), and Shannon Mitchell; his siblings, Isaiah Farmer, Noah Edwards, Deven Pretlow, Shauri Peden-Mitchell, Zipporah Williams, Qeziyah Maamiyn, Reyah Maamiyn, and Mo'Adyah Maamiyn; one step brother, Jarobi Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.All services will be held privately.
