Benjamin's Obituary
FLORENCE – Benjamin Clyde Galloway, Sr., 80, husband of the late Mary "Patsy" Galloway, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at home surrounded by family.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.He was born in Florence, a son of the late Ollie and Thirley Galloway. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as a truck driver.He was predeceased by an infant son, Terrell Lee Galloway; and siblings, Uldine Johns, Buck Galloway, Frank Galloway, and Tracy Galloway. Survivors include three loving children: sons, Benny (Janice) Galloway of Florence and Gary (Rene) Galloway of Walhalla, SC, and daughter, Angie Galloway Buie of Florence; siblings, Hazel Rogers, Marilyn (Ralph) Kuns, Wayne (Bonnie) Galloway, Harvey (Rita) Galloway, Cornelia (Richard) Brock, and Peggy Galloway; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
