I really don’t have the words to express the roller coaster of emotions I’ve felt since being told of Ben’s passing by his dad, Greg. I’m sad for me and everyone else Ben touched with his bravery and the happiness he projected on all of us. Sad for our loss, but grateful I was a part of it all through the years, although geography made our visits all too few and far between. I always loved how he lit up whenever he saw me. While we were only around Ben for a short time, I will never forget the airboat ride in Florida Everglades. While Ben had a little anxiety upon entering the boat, it was only moments after the wind hit his face, that his smile broke from ear to ear! It was a joy to see Ben having so much fun. Our thoughts and prayers extend to all the Gillum family during this most difficult time. God's blessing to you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Ben. He truly was a special person. I enjoyed having him through the years on the bus and at the Arc. His smile and friendlyness will be welcomed in heaven. RIP buddy
