Bernie Mac Pops you were the best man I've met in my almost 40 years on this earth!!! I miss your laugh and your singing and oh man that chili and shishkabobs yummmmmy!!! I'm very glad that you came into my life and ur little buddy Lala loves ya bunches as well and we will never forget you and all the times we had at ur house!!! We love you Pops until we meet again!!!

He was like family to me, I considered my uncle. As a young teen he helped me learn how to fix stuff and learned alot about life. I am so sorry to hear about the news of your passing

Not sure how to tell this story, but as a small child and teenager, Bernie was my Landlord. I can remember it explicitly; Bernie had returned from Vietnam and bought the childhood home I lived in Springfield. It was a house that he had honed as a triplex. We lived on the bottom floor and upstairs were two Apts.

Im so sorry i never got to really be around papa, but when i was, you were the best grandfather a grandkid could ask for. You always uplifted everyone’s mood even when yours wasn’t the greatest. You went through so much as time went on and now you don’t have to worry about suffering from pain or stress anymore. Its sad but im glad you’re in a better place. We all love you so very much and you wont ever be forgotten, il forever and always hold you in my heart.

Bernie,a favorite memory of mine is You,Steve,me living all three of us together for the summer with grandma Ferree.The three amigos having fun playing getting into trouble together.Then later as a Adult coming back to Springfield to visit you got me a rental car(I couldn’t have had one otherwise.)So we could visit everyone.So generous and Loving.may God Bless your Soul and take you to Heaven.RIP Dear Cousin Love you always❤❤❤❤
