Bernice "Bea"'s Obituary

90 years young, Bea was the loving mother of Gale (Bruce Hagan), Mary Jo (David) McElwain and James (Linda Tinoly). Fond grandmother of Catherine and Daniel (Mallory) McElwain. Bea is survived by her beloved sister Theresa Schmidt. Fond aunt of Michael and Maria Simi, Mary Ann, Kathleen and Ray Schmidt. Treasured Great-Aunt to Nicole, Elisa and Christina Simi. Bea lived a full and adventurous life. She worked hard and could cook up a storm! She was an accomplished watercolor artist. Bea loved nature, birds and all things English. One of her happiest memories was a trip to the English countryside. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed trips to the mountains and state parks of the Western U.S. as well as Door County, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her dear sister Margaret, dear brothers Henry and Joseph and her cherished parents. Earlier this year, Bea celebrated her 90th Birthday surrounded by her many loved ones.

Family and friends are asked to please meet at St. Walter's Catholic Church, 130 W. Pine Ave. Roselle, IL 60172, on Friday, August 5th for a Memorial Mass beginning at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chicago Audubon Society would be greatly appreciated: http://chicagoaudubon.org/links and click on "Memorial Donations".
